 The PaintSource Network was was formally organized in 1999 by Doug Wilson and Will Selby in Lexington, Kentucky, culminating decades of experience in the paint and wood coatings industry.
PaintSource has evolved as a central point of information for painting and wood care projects.

Doug and Will worked together in the early 90's running one of the largest independent paint stores in the country, serving clients in all markets, gaining valuable knowledge and experience with a variety of paint and wood coatings products. Prior to that, Doug worked for a well-known national paint company through the 1980's as an architectural coatings rep.

Beginning in 1994, while operating a commercial and residential painting business, Doug and Will began to develop a network of manufacturers, suppliers and contractors who had been providing premium proven products and solutions for a variety of painting and decorating projects.

In 2006, David Gunn joined the team bringing years of experience in the field of residential painting and fine wood care.

Continual testing and research has led them to feature the products and solutions you will find here. The PaintSource Network is dedicated to helping clients choose and locate the best solutions for any painting or wood coating project. Extensive experience as paint contractors has given them additional valuable insight into the causes of most architectural coating failures. Their contracting experience has also allowed them to continue to test and evaluate hundreds
of products through their professional network. PaintSource will seek and feature the best performing, longest lasting paint and wood coatings solution for any project.

History

In 2003 Perspectives Inc joined the PaintSource Network to expand the products and services offered to their clients. Will Selby is now based at Perspectives' Lexington, KY location, where he leads a team of expert PaintSource professionals providing paint and wood care project advice to homeowners, builders, contractors, and institutions.

In 2005 WJ Andriots joined the PaintSource Network to further strengthen our stores distribution services. As owner of his family store in Shelbyville, KY, BJ Andriot and his team bring over 20 years, and two generations of expertise in the industry, along with an experienced staff of painting and decorating consultants.

Morgan Lyon and Kyle Blair joined our team in 2005 to work with Will Selby at Perspectives Inc , where they give great advice and better solutions for all wood care and painting projects. Kyle and Morgan have been a great addition to our team of experienced consultants for client projects.

In 2006 PaintSource joined with long-time associate David Gunn to enhance our paint inspection and deck care consultation services. David brings 25 years of residential and commercial painting and wood care experience and expertise to our group. He is available to consult on a variety of painting or wood care projects.

PaintSource is dedicated to increasing awareness of the best paint products and supplies, wood coatings, and caulking to protect and beautify a variety of surfaces on homes and commercial buildings. We seek to prevent needless paint and wood coatings failures. Our continually growing team combines years of experience in many diverse areas of the paint and coatings industry.
