Product Description
DEFY Deck Stain for Hardwoods is a synthetic, semi-transparent finish
specifically formulated for use on cedar, mahogany, redwood, and other dense or difficult to penetrate woods.
DEFY Deck Stain for Hardwoods also works well on composite woods. It is a VOC-compliant stain that penetrates
wood pores to block out water and provide long-lasting protection from weather damage. The product's excellent penetration helps eliminate surface buildup and peeling.
USES:
DEFY Deck Stain for Hardwoods can be used on interior or exterior smooth hardwood surfaces including:
wood siding, decks, outdoor wood furniture, and other hardwood surfaces.
For more porous surfaces
such as pressure treated, pine and cedar log siding, or rough sawn lumber, use
DEFY Epoxy Fortified Wood Stain. DEFY Deck Stain for Hardwoods is available in Cedar Tone, Light Walnut and Natural Pine.

● Resists flaking and peeling
● Soap and water clean-up
● Easy to maintain
HORIZONTAL SURFACES: Apply two wet on wet coats, waiting up to 20 minutes between coats. It is very important to not let the first coat dry completely before applying the second coat. Brush product into surface
working out all drips, puddles, or areas of overspray before product dries. Do not over apply stain. To avoid the possibility of peeling, apply only as much stain as the wood can easily absorb. A sure indication of over application is a shiny finish. Complete entire sections or to a natural break before allowing to dry. Never break in the middle of a board as it will cause unsightly color variations.
Thoroughly coat the ends of boards to prevent water penetration.
